Overgrown

by: Gus Grass

Tumbling into rhythms like glass in the sea

Could it be, I was funny and never knew money to be a friend all along

Ticking time tell ourselves the passing ain’t mine

I’m just along for the ride

Thighs get warm and tender

When lovers have names of no one I’ve yet to know

Overgrow

Shivers til I surrender

When lovers utter words from places I’ve yet to go

Overgrow, overgrow

If I’m still in this skin when you come back around

Why don’t you leave a mark covered in sound

Another year goes by, the frog eats another fly

Doesn’t care to reach farther than his tongue will allow

What’s so wrong with right now

Thighs get warm and tender

When lovers have names of no one I’ve yet to know

Overgrow

Shivers til I surrender

When lovers utter words from places I’ve yet to go

Overgrow, overgrow

Wake me up when you get here

Shake me out of slumber

Make a house in happening

Use this love as lumber

Wake me up when you get here

Shake me out of slumber

Make a house in happening

Use this love as lumber
